 Edmeston supplies SX towers for all strong sulphuric acid applications, e.g, drying towers, intermediate absorption towers and final absorption towers. Each tower is individually designed, based on the operating conditions, and manufactured in SX without any brick lining. SX towers offer several benefits when replacing old towers as well as for new installations. Features and benefits of SX towers: • Extremely low corrosion rate - long service life. • No brick lining - reduces installation time and cost as well as diameter of tower for replacements. • Low weight - easy installation, existing foundations can be used for larger tower replacements. • Plug and Play - one piece delivery. The towers can be completed with packing, mist eliminators and distributor, then lifted into position and connected to duct and piping, thus reducing shutdown periods to a minimum. Larger towers can be prefabricated and erected at site in the same way. |
