 Edmeston is pleased to offer shell & tube acid coolers for all purposes without the nuisance of anodic protection. Each cooler is individually designed and optimized for the actual operating conditions. The coolers are normally designed and built according to ASME or EN codes but any code requirements can be adopted. The SX suitability for high temperature and high acid velocities results in high heat transfer coefficients and a compact design. Edmeston supplies coolers for different demanding service applications, such as: • Boiler feed water preheating The first installation was made in 1985, for a heat recovery application, and it is still in maintenance-free operation, without any measurable corrosion. |
