 The Edmeston INKA® double shell recuperator consists of two concentric, metallic cylinders having the flue gas flow in the centre and the combustion air flow in the annulus between the metal surfaces. The recuperator often serves as the furnace stack with either connection to a filter system or to a furnace pressure regulation system located on the top. INKA® double shell recuperators are available in a wide variety of sizes and layouts. Flow directions can be arranged in various ways: upwards, downwards, in parallel flow or in counter flow. The INKA® tube bundle recuperator is suitable for flue gas temperatures between 1000°C and 1350°C and produces air preheat from 450°C to 600°C.  |
