 The Edmeston INKA® tube bundle recuperator consists of a cylindrical tube bundle, installed in a vertical outer carbon steel shell insulated with refractory lining. The lining consists either of bricks or castable refractory materials. The recuperator serves often as the furnace stack with either connection to a filter system or to a furnace pressure regulation system located on the top. INKA® tube bundle recuperators are available in a wide variety of sizes and layouts. Flow directions can be arranged in various ways: upwards, downwards, in parallel flow or in counter flow. The INKA® tube bundle recuperator is suitable for flue gas temperatures between 1000°C and 1600°C and produces air preheat from 450°C to 750°C.  |
